Canna ‘Jimmie Jill’ is a seedling of C. ‘Ermine’
I want to name this canna after my sister-in-law, Jill Hill Forbes Fisher. She passed away in 2002. This canna flower is one of her favorite colors and Jill would have loved its playful look.

Jimmie Jill has wide-open apricot pink flowers.
I recently noticed that Jimmie Jill has a branching flower stem, so that means more flowers on each stalk. Self-cleaning, too, if the humidity is just right.

Jimmie Jill has wavy green foliage.

Grackleflap has small orange flowers.
I really love the foliage of this canna seedling. I want to find out how tall it will grow and if it will create seeds. I’ve decided to plant him in the pathway garden.

Grackleflap is a 2008 seedling.

Canna ‘Orange Punch’ is brilliant orange with yellow at the center.

Orange Punch blooms so heavily the flower stems often hang down.

Canna ‘Ermine’
Ermine is such a delight as a potted canna. It always has a choice location on my patio. I think it does better if you can leave it in a pot over the winter
because the rhizomes are hideously tiny.

Ermine is a dwarf canna about 2 – 2 1/2 feet tall.
Recently I divided my Ermine. Imagine my horror when the whole batch went down with transplant shock! I guess with the small rhizomes, the divisions couldn’t sail through the process as well as cannas with beefier rhizomes.

Canna ‘Edna Tulip’
Edna Tulip is an outstanding heavy bloomer. The flowers are uniquely colored: very light yellow with a pink center.

Bright yellow, orchid-like flowers with pink lines on the lower petal, green foliage

This canna is a seedling of Orange Punch.

I just love yellow cannas!

This seedling is from seeds I got from Alice Harris of Karchesky Canna.

Cardinal Sinn starts blooming well before he reaches full height.
Canna ‘Cardinal Sinn’ can hardly wait to start blooming. The first blooms will appear on a short stalk, but each stalk after will be taller than the last before it blooms.
